I figured out that printers and files were not always connected, and it really amazed me that some things that are so simple were not always a thing. Also having to put the printer and computer on the same server for you to print files or programs is something I would've never thought was so much more of a process than a little tap of pressing cntrl +P. If it is all connected to a network, it is called a node or a network node. Also, every single server has an operating system but they can also run network operating system software. Another thing I learned was that not all LANS use the same cables to connect to computers.
The oldest kind of cable is the twisted pair that are 2 copper wires twisted together. Some other cables are coaxial cable, fiber optics cable, categories 1-7 cable, and many more. Domain names are usually 3 letters with a dot right before it, the most common domains are .com, .edu, .mil, .org, .net, and .gov.
